What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are strands of silk, mink, or another synthetic or natural material that are applied one at a time and fixed to an individual's natural eyelashes. Eyelash extensions are applied for cosmetic purposes by a specialist using tweezers and a semi-permanent glue. Eyelash extensions last approximately three to four week and fall off as your natural eyelashes are shed. Indiana's rule for eyelash extension specialists stipulates that non licensed estheticians and cosmetologist who are refer to as eyelash extension specialist, wishing to perform the application of eyelash extensions to the public in Indiana must obtain a certification of training for the application of eyelash extensions from a program recognized by Indiana Department of Health.
