Net Profit of Commercial Banks in Nepal [Updated]

In the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2080/81, 20 commercial banks have reported the net profit of Rs. 41.12 Arba. The average profit of the banks stood at Rs. 2.06 Arba

Nabil Bank (NABIL) has remained as the number one bank in terms of net profit. Nabil has posted a profit of Rs 4.66 Arba in the 9 months period. Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) is at number two spot with Rs 3.3 Arba in net profit while Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) occupies the third spot with Rs 3.29 Arba profit.

On the other hand, Nepal Bank (NBL) has reported a net profit of Rs. 13 crores. Likewise, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) and Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) have earned profit of Rs. 85 crores and Rs. 105 crores respectively.

Net Profit of Commercial Banks in Nepal [FY 2078/79]

In the fiscal year 2078/79, 26 commercial banks had reported the net profit of Rs. 74.70 Arba. The average profit of the banks stood at Rs. 2.87 Arba

Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) remained as the number one bank in terms of net profit. RBB posted a profit of Rs 5.21 Arba in the fiscal year 2078/79. Global IME Bank (GBIME) was at number two spot with Rs 5.20 Arba in net profit while Nabil Bank occupied the third spot with Rs 4.97 Arba profit.

On the other hand, Century Commercial Limited (CCBL) earned the lowest profit among the banks with Rs 1.35 Arba net profit. Similarly, Civil Bank (CBL), and Laxmi Bank (LBL) had earned about Rs 1.38 Arba and Rs. 1.60 Arba respectively.
