If your debit card is lost or stolen, contact Bethpage immediately.

Bethpage is part of the Co-op ATM Network, which allows you to access your money from 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide. Many Co-op ATMs are conveniently located in local stores, like 7-Eleven and CVS. Just look for the Co-op ATM logo on participating ATMs or click here to find one near you.
When the primary account holder reaches the age of 21, a Student Checking Account will automatically convert to a Bethpage Free Checking Account. Your account number and debit card number, if applicable, will remain the same and any existing direct deposits and automatic payments you have already set up will remain.
Online and telephone banking are available to children under the age of 18 with parental permission.
A Student Checking Account has no monthly maintenance fees and no minimum balance requirement.
Yes, all Bethpage Federal Credit Union deposit accounts are insured up to $250,000 through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The NCUA share insurance coverage applies to each share owner, per insured credit union, for each ownership category. Anyone between the ages of 13-20 is eligible to open a Student Checking Account. To open a Student Checking Account, your child must establish membership by opening a $5 minimum Student Savings Account. Currently, we only open accounts for U.S. citizens and permanent resident aliens.
You can transfer money from your Bethpage account to your child’s Student Checking Account within Online Banking.
Note: You cannot make transfers within Online Banking if you do not have a Bethpage account.
Important Information
[1] Bethpage will not charge an insufficient fund fee if Bethpage declines a transaction that may overdraw your account, however, the payee or merchant may assess a fee if a transaction is returned unpaid. In some instances, Bethpage may be required to pay certain transactions that will overdraw your account resulting in a negative balance, however, Bethpage will not charge an overdraft fee.
[2] Surcharge-free ATMs through the Co-op ATM Network must show Co-op ATM logo. ATM transactions performed at ATMs outside of the Co-op ATM Network may be subject to the ATM owner’s fee. Please visit our online ATM Locator for a list of surcharge-free ATMs.

[4] There is a limit of one (1) Soccer Ball per new Student Checking or Student Savings Account that is opened. If multiple accounts are opened by the same person, only one (1) Soccer Ball will be provided. $5.00 minimum balance required to open the Student Savings account and to receive the Soccer Ball. For accounts opened in a branch, the Soccer Ball will be provided upon account opening. For accounts opened through a virtual appointment, the Soccer Ball will be mailed to the primary account owner’s address within thirty (30) business days of account opening. Offer valid 05/28/2024 through 08/30/2024, or while supplies last.
