The Wolverine Boot company began way back in 1883, being known as the Wolverine Shoe and Tanning Corporation. They were just a small family-run leather tannery known for making tough, yet comfortable leather boots and gloves. By 1903, they had grown large enough to begin manufacturing 300 boots a day, which prompted them to move their operations to a new factory location in Rockford, Michigan, where they still reside today.
