Welcome to the USSSA 2024 Great Lakes Nationals in Evansville, Indiana. If you are a repeat team, then welcome back. If you are a new team playing in our Nationals, then we welcome you. We thank you for choosing Indiana USSSA Great lakes Nationals.

The following is the event itinerary for the event and information you will need to know:

Payment must be paid at least two weeks prior to start date of event which is June 24th.

Event Format:

This is a 5 game guarantee. Three pool into double elimination bracket or two pool into 3 game bracket

Pool play Tuesday

Pool play Wednesday Possible bracket play may start late Wednesday if needed.

Bracket Thursday

Bracket Friday

Championship games Saturday

Time Limited of games:

Pool play: 75 minutes. Complete the inning. Can end in a tie

Bracket: 75 minutes finish the inning and must have a winner

Teams need to be prepared to play 20 minutes prior to their game time except for the first game of the day.

Tournament info/Rules

All rules are under USSSA rules:

Teams may bat entire roster.

DP/Flex can be used.

Courtesy runner is a sub if you have one. If no sub then last completed at bat.

Protest fees: $150 cash

Any coach ejected will be ejected for the max of one game plus the game they are coaching in. If deemed the coach could be suspended for an extra game.

Roster info:

All rosters put be on line no later than 72 hours prior to start of the event on Monday.

All rosters must be approved through your state director and national host director.

Seeded info

Pool plays will be seeded and teams will be seeded into bracket on how they do in bracket play.

Points for seeding will be off games ending of week June 23rd.

Opening ceremonies and activities will be held on Monday:

Skills Competition: Deaconess park 10:00AM to 2:00PM

USSSA Pride Camp: Deaconess Park 9:00AM-1:00PM

Coaches Meeting: Location TBA 2:30 PM-3:30PM Check in 2:00-2:30

Parade: LIne-up at Deaconess Park 4:00PM PM- Walk to begin at 4:15PM

Location for lining up will be announced,

Welcoming : Evansville Mayor- CVB-USSSA Special Guest TBA

Award ceremonies: Skills competition winners will be announced at the end of the parade

Theme: TBA

Ride and Games: 10:00AM to 3:00PM All kids are welcome

Pin trading will be allowed any time during Monday's events.

USSSA Pride games will be played at Otters Field.

Rain out line: 812-350-3272: Emails will also be sent out along with the Great Lakes Facebook page updated.

If case of inclement weather: The Director has the option to change the format which includes but not limited to:

1. Number of games to be played:

2, Cancel any un-played pool play games and seed bracket on games played.

3. Dropping time limits to lower playing time.

4. Shortening number of innings to be played.

5. Dropping losers bracket.

Sunday is a makeup day for bracket games only. If rain occurs in pool play those games will not be made up.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

USSSA will not allow for their staff to be abused, which includes verbal abuse. Violators will be ejected for all week from the event.

Abuse toward any USSSA Member which includes, Directors, UIC'S, Umpires, Gate workers or any park staff member.

Admission for games: We will be set up all day on Monday to allow you to purchase your weekly Bands. They will also be sold daily.

Seniors: 62 years or older

Children:

10 and under free

Players free

Three coaches free. Coaches will get bands at coaches meetings.

All bands must be worn at all times. Failing to wear them can result in being removed from the park.

Sharing bands will get you removed for the entire event.

Park rules:

No Pets allowed inside any parks

No Alcohol allowed inside parks

No tobacco usage inside any parks. This includes chewing and vaping.

A team cooler is allowed only at all parks.

No overnight RV Parking allowed at any facility.

No opening burning allowed
